March's Focus is Womens History Month. Students will explore the work of one of the most influential American sculptors, Louise Nevelson. After viewing pieces in the OJAC collection, and a video-interview with the artist, students will discuss ideas such as Found Object Assemblage, Unity and Scale.
Each student will then create a box filled with Organic and Geometric shapes, as well as Found Objects. Families/ Groups will then combine their boxes to form one, large Assemblage Sculpture.
