OJAC TRAVELING HISTORY TRUNK - Manifest Destiny and the American West: Grades: 4-8
Join us as we go back to 1863 and explore the effects of the transcontinental transportation network on America. We will read about life in America during this time through the perspective of pioneer Sallie Reynolds Matthews. In this trunk, you will find a lesson plan packet, an American Progress painting tapestry, props needed to conduct the “Step Into the Painting” activity, a wagon, and information cards. To reserve your date for the Manifest Destiny & the American West Traveling History Trunk, please fill out the following document and choose three potential dates of when you want to receive the trunk. If the date is approved, the trunk will be delivered to your school by no later than noon on Monday and will need to be repacked and in your campus office no later than 2 PM the following week on Thursday when it will be picked up.
