Is your 4-8 grade class an hour drive or less from the OJAC? Sign up to use our Traveling Trunks, a free historical enrichment program! Each trunk has a different historical theme that is tied to artifacts from our collection. The themes are Manifest Destiny, Tonkawa Heritage, Buffalo Soldiers, and Vaqueros. Things you will find in each trunk are lesson plans, books, props, hand-on activities and additional resources on the topic.

A courier from the Old Jail Art Center will drop off the trunk of your choosing, which you will have for eight school days. Traveling Trunks are always FREE to participating campuses! This is an opportunity for students to explore first-hand historical artifacts they have been learning about over the course of the school year.
