In celebration of Youth Art Month, the OJAC will hold its 9th annual OJAC Student Art Show.
The exhibit will showcase works of art created by 7th-12th grade students from Region 14 schools. Submissions will come from students who participate in the OJAC school outreach program, Art-To-Go, and will be juried by the museum Junior Docent Corps.
During their campus visit, students explored 5 works of art from the museums permanent collection, ranging from sculpture to photography. They then choose one peice of the five to "talk back to" by creating a response piece.
Chosen and winning response pieces will hang in the Stasney Center for Education throughout the month of March next to the original collection piece from the museum.
Take a sneak peak at the museum collection pieces that the student work will respond to, then join us for the opening reception/ awards ceremony at 2 pm, Saturday March 11th.
